ElevatedX fine-tuning and optimization

Let's look at ElevatedX CMS and try to find out how to improve website performance running by this powerful content management system.

After five years spent working with ElevatedX, I have to admit that it can be irreplaceable for some website owners. This conclusion sounds very right to me with all its back-end options, especially the video encoding feature. On the other hand, the front-end part can and must be considered the thing to work with — lots of things can be improved here.

To speed up website load and make the overall user experience better, templates must be cleaned up from garbage, especially in Cascading Style Sheets and JavaScript files. Those have to be optimized in the first place. Simultaneously, during the CSS and JS cleanup, it is necessary to fix all the errors in template files.

The reason for all those manipulations is straightforward — ElevatedX was created for "everybody" and carries all the imaginable features alongside. Fine-tuning the system to correspond with your project's particular requirements is vital and will drastically improve website performance. If you don't have a member's area, why then you have to carry all the code for it?

Furthermore, lazyload scripts for your galleries and videos must be optimized or installed from scratch. All responsive designs provided by default ElevatedX templates must be analyzed and fixed! It's there simply because it is an industry requirement, but that's it. The content management system's themes weren't created the right way: by following the "mobile-first" approach. It was done after and, of course, it works on mobiles, but it is a so-so performance, and we have almost 60% of mobile traffic these days.

All the things written here are front-end related and can be fixed quickly, boosting your website performance to the next level!

I haven't even started to explain the back-end part, and what can be done there —template file structure, PHP includes, image positions optimization, NATS integration with members area, etc. We'll talk about it sometime later, I promise.

Target audience

The conventional concept of the target audience was invented by marketologists to justify budgets in front of their superiors. In other words, it's bullshit — there is no such thing as a target audience.

The truth about your boss

The truth about your boss

Curiously that so many people, especially poets and sculptors, chant the keystone as a unique element of an arch. Reality is a bit different, though, since all the stones in an arch are keystones — they have the identical function and carry the equivalent load.
